Summary: Motorola S9 Pleasantly Surprised
Comment: I ordered the Motorola S9 (not HD) for use with my HTC Tytn (AT&T 8525) mainly for listening to music and possibly for making phone calls (I've read other reviews that the headset/cellphone function doesn't work that well). After receiving the package, I immediately charged it before dinner and after 2 hrs, paired it with my phone and started listening to music. The quality is not bad. Bass is good, could be more, but no big deal. I tried calling with it and left a message on my answering machine. The clarity was fairly good. Seems the product works fairly well. The only complaint or rather, anomaly that I've noticed is a kind of doppler effect if I move to and from my cellphone too fast.

Summary: Very good overall, has some downside
Comment: I'm on my second pair of these headphones (first pair now being used by my daughter), and I have to say, they're pretty much the best stereo bluetooth headphones out there for people with an active lifestyle. The sound quality is very good, they're rugged and easy to use, and they feel pretty comfortable. I'd give them more stars, if not for three fairly annoying flaws:

1. If not installed exactly right, the ear buds can fall off rather easily, and they are hard to replace.
2. Microphone is so sensitive, it picks up a lot more background noise than other bluetooth headsets I've used. Definitely hard for people to hear you when you're in a fairly noisy place.
3. Touch controls are a tad too sensitive. I've ended up accidentally skipping tracks if my fingers lightly brush against the controls.

Summary: Great idea, poor functionality
Comment: I purchased this headset mainly to use with my iPod, not necessarily with my phone. The unit sync'd fine with my iPod and my phone but the contols on the headset did not function at all. I returned the headset the day after I received it.

Summary: OK for small headed people...
Comment: These were the first bluetooth headphones I bought for listening to my iPod on the bus. Overall they are well made and getting them initially bonded with the iPod wasn't difficult. The controls take a little getting use to, but otherwise are good.

I have two main issues with them:
1) They simply don't fit on my head or even my wife's head very well. They are made for someone with a small head. I can get them on, but at the cost of the speakers buds not really going in my ear and then they squeeze my ears. They should really make two sizes, because these are not a one size fits all device.

2) Getting the headphones and my iPod to sync up is sometimes a major pain and I never figured out what "fixed" it. Sometimes I could just turn both on and they worked. But other times for no reason, the two refused to talk and I'd have to completely power both off and start over. Maybe this is just a bluetooth issue, but the headphones I bought to replace these doesn't have the same problem. (Neither does my cell phone and its bluetooth headset)

Summary: Excellent BT headset but only if you're standing up
Comment: This is a great Bluetooth headset for one-way audio streaming, i.e. listening to songs or videos. It is not suitable for use while running, too much sweat creates intermittent operation; it is NOT suitable for voice calls. The microphone in the right earpiece delivers only average voice quality. Also, you have to be upright because lying on a bed with these on breaks the BT connection.
