Customer Rating: Summary: Love it! Comment: I love this phone! The media feature is awesome, even though it is limited to which email you can check. Great music player and I can listen to my music through my blue tooth. Reception is good, sound quality is good and the phone has weight which I like. The only issue I have at this point is the bottom row of keys for texting is difficult to work with large fingers and the weight of the phone is toward the top, so when the slide is open and I am texting, it feels easy to drop, if I'm not careful. But overall, I love it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good features, underpowered battery Comment: The phone comes packed with useful features. It has everything that's expected of modern phones: a phone, a camera (quality not so good), an mp3 player (with good speakers), a web browser, and a few built-in applications; and supposed Cellular Video streaming and XM radio, neither of which I tried.
Unfortunately, the battery life is quite short. It would probably last three days if I did not make any calls on it, but when I start communicating, it runs out of juice by the middle of the second day, even if I disable bluetooth. Even worse is the fact that once the battery drops below 1 bar, the phone starts to signal its low battery vibrate almost every minute, and shuts down about five to fifteen minutes later. If you go out with it having one bar, you may find yourself connectionless in under an hour.
Coupled with a few additional annoyances (e.g. central button starts the browser; power cord attaches clumsily so that the phone is uncomfortable to use while it's charging; side buttons are too sensitive and always end up being pressed), this is just a decent phone, and nothing that I would particularly recommend to my friends.
Customer Rating: Summary: great phone, easy to use Comment: I wish I had selected this one for myself. The A737 has clear menus. The indented circular, central control area lets your finger just slide easily around to all the compass points to hit your shortcuts. Good sound & picture quality, uses a standard mini SD card you can get cheaply nearly anywhere. Holds lots of mp3s. Keypad is just right size for typing, but the model is slim. This slider is easy to open and feels solidly made. My teenager has it, but I'd like to swap. Too bad he won't appreciate my phone; it's pink!
Customer Rating: Summary: screen cracked despite tender care, STAY AWAY; JUNK!!!! Comment: can't say ANY GOOD things about this flimsy phone. WHEN IT CRACKS ON YOU, DON'T SAY YOU WEREN'T FOREWARNED... BUY ANYTHING ELSE.
Customer Rating: Summary: screen durability poor Comment: Something you should be away of:
I had the phone in my pocket with a set house keys and the lcd fractured, yet it received no impact as I didn't bump or hit anything. According to the local at&t store guy that is all it takes to break... no impact required, it just needs another object in your pocket or purse to start the game of cell phone russian roulette..
Pay attention to screen quality and definitely compare phones in person before buying. At the at&t store it was easy to distinguish which phones likewise had fragile screens, so be careful about which you buy.
