Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Quality and if this bad doesn't have a pocket for it, you don't need it! Comment: I bought this bag after much research. It is a very well made bag... if you wear this bag out, you must be either Rambo or a Soldier. It has pockets for everything and then some. The pocket on the back side is perfect for a water bottle, it has pockets for your multi-tool (Leatherman New Wave for me) Pens, perfect pocket for a Surefire E2L, a place for your keys, camera, cellphone (although my Blackberry Curve is too big, but a standard phone will fit fine) and if you are of a mind your handgun. Although my Government Model 1911 is a little too big, but anything smaller will fit fine. My only complaint is the the padded sliding shoulder pad, if you are wearing a shirt without a collar, it tends to rub your neck raw. But if you have a collar it is fine.
I think this bag will last a very long time and is perfect for going for a hike, maybe a small emergency bag, or even perhaps a "man purse"... As much stuff as the average man (I say man, because generally women use a purse, but this bag is perfectly suited for women also) carries in his pockets and on his belt, keys, wallet, pocket knife, cell phone, multi-tool, change, and myriad other things, this bag is perfect. They took a lot of time designing this bag it even has a strap on the backside (the side against your body) that allows you to clip in to your belt, I find this feature very handy as I walk sort of funny (due to bad hips) and without this strap it tends to hang straight down. But with the strap attached, it stays where I want it.
They also offer this bag is enough sizes that you could probably find one to use as a suit case if you were so inclined.
Highly recommend this bag.
Customer Rating: Summary: You have to buy it! Comment: After an intensive research on this bag, I finally decided to buy it. It is all and more of what I expected. All the reviews on this bag are right. It is a TOUGH Bag and extremly well designed. It is great for CCW. One of my favorites is my XD 40 4". A Gun that is not easy to conceal with sport clothes but it is easy with this bag. Its a good choice.
Customer Rating: Summary: Manly carryall (not a purse!) Comment: Well-designed and made. This bag has plenty of pockets and zippered compartments for all kinds of items. I can carry my camera, phone, multi-tool, keys, maps, a book, and my lunch without needing to take a much larger backpack. The shoulder strap is comfortable, and the bag hangs nicely on the hip. The manufacturer, Maxpedition, also has additional wallets and cases that will attach to this to expand your options. This bag is made to carry on the right side. They also make a left-side version they call the "S-type". Recommended for anybody who wants to carrry a little more than will fit in their pockets.
