Summary: Good daily moisturnizer..Does NOTHING for scars
Comment: I first bought this product in Jan '07 after reading rave reviews for it online. I suffer from terrible acne scars (some pitted, some superficial) all over my face and heard that this oil was a veritable mircale worker. I have been using it religiously as directed (twice a day for over a year now) and it has made absolutely NO difference to the appearance of my scars whatsover. So as a treatment for scars (both serious and superficial scars) it does absolutely NOTHING and I give it a 1 star as far as scar treatment goes. But it is a great mosturizer and for this function I give it 5 stars. It sinks into my skin and gives it a magical luminosity that no other face mosturizers can.

Summary: Good, but Not a Miraculous!
Comment: I bought this product because I'm pregnant and I wanted to avoid strech marks. I've been using this product for 2 months now, after shower only. I have tried it on old scars, but no improvement at all. I have also tried it on darkish spots on my legs and arms (too much sun bathing in the past!)and it has shown good improvement! Besides that, of course, I'm using it on my belly (5 months preggy!)and so far no strech marks (but maybe I would never had them, who knows?!)!
I like the oily consistency for the body, but would not apply to the face.
It may work for some skin types, better than others, it's a hard call. In doubt, I tried it!

Summary: Great Results for Rosacea/Redness
Comment: I have been very pleased with the results from Bio Oil - I have used Finacea and Metrogel (both prescription) as well as Eucerin Redness Relief and Cetaphil (among a host of other products), but Bio Oil is the only product that has significantly improved my skin - not just managed the problem, but improved it! I am delighted after about 6 weeks - saw an improvement right away but waited to review to make sure.
Good luck to you if you have rosacea/redness - it's a drag. Try this, it certainly helped me.

Summary: Healing a recent surgical scar
Comment: I recently had a surgery scar straight down the spine at the neck, about 8 inches. I started applying this oil at least once a day. I wanted to eliminate the redness and moisurize the tightness after a scar. Within a month after the surgery, I started applying it, the redness is going away. I want to make sure that the skin gets its flexibility back with moisturizer in the oil.
The 2 oz bottle of oil lasts a long time, it is an ungreasy feeling that washes off your hands easily. It is a clear solution. Good use of this oil. I may then try another bottle on uneven skin tone, which may take longer to show the effect. The oil is used for wrinkles as an anti-aging cream. ...Rizzo
