Customer Rating: Summary: Best Value for Money Comment: Even though its a little dated, I purchased this GPS because I didn't need the MSN traffic services or any of the new features on the latest GPS.
This is one awesome GPS. I updated the maps (free) and the OS. I had previously owned a HK 510 GPS and this system just blows it away with its accuracy, ease of use and effectiveness. I'm very pleased with the system. I have yet to encounter any issues with the system or its accuracy (I live in the West Coast).
So my advice is:
If you don't need all the new bells and whistles (which most people don't), this GPS is a hell of deal (it was priced at 700+ when released).
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice functions & easy to use Comment: This is my first GPS. I really like it for its functionality, ease of use.
it showing maps and directions correctly. it anouncing street names too.
Though it has many other functions, I didnt use them.
I would recomend this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good for what it's good for Comment: Works mostly fine for it's intended application of getting you from here to there. Maps generally up to date. The audio and FM performance, however, are abysmal. At max volume it is marginally understandable at speeds below about 40, mostly useless over that. This is a well documented shortcoming of this unit; it's saving grace is Bluetooth and a direct audio output, but it does add more complication to the navigating experience. I rate it just OK.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Co-Pilot Comment: I have had several GPS models and the Nuvi 660 is one that I have no concerns about getting me to my destination. It is reliable, efficient and so easy to operate. My directionally challenged wife no longer has any fear of getting lost and will take off to see our children and grandchildren at a moments notice in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex if I am unable to go with her. We do not leave town without it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Garmin nuvi is Fantastic! We love it! Comment: I bought this GPS for my husband's birthday. It has performed far better than we expected. It has met all of our needs. The bluetooth and music (MP3) options work great. We have found it to be accurate and provide the searches needed while traveling. Also, we are new to the area where we are currently living so looking up stores, services, etc. have proved invaluable to us.
