Customer Rating: Summary: Great Bike; Awful Seat Comment: This bike is actually pretty nice and inexpensive as far as exercise equipment goes. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy. The wheel is super quiet which means you can watch TV or I have even read while riding it. My only complaint is the horrible seat. It is really uncomfortable. I bought the Amazon recommended La-Z-Boy Triple Gel Bicycle Seat Cover which didn't fit quite right nor did it really help. I just sit on a cushion when I work out. Seems to work fine.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice and Quiet Comment: I really like this little bike. I've been using it for two weeks. It fits perfectly in the corner of my room and I can watch TV without turning up the volume. I'm 5'6" so it is a nice size for me. As other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions for putting it together are pretty bad, but you can figure it out pretty easily yourself. I don't find the seat hard like other reviewers. I'm glad there is a product like this out there.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great buy! Comment: It came to my house within a week.
This was a great buy. Very easy to assemble. The bike is very quite and very easy to ride.
You may not be very comfortable with the seat but in vest in a seat you would like. It is definitely worth it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not for Serious Cyclists, Poor Build Design Comment: After only 30 minutes of riding this bike, the resistance flywheel came loose and the pedals began to "slip".
I had to take the plastic side panels off and adjust a bolt, but the tension still wasn't very hard. I could ride comfortably on the 7th of 8th tension settings. The 8th setting wasn't actually that hard either. If you're not in great shape or cycling isn't your passion, you'll probably do fine with the tension provided. A little trick for those who want a cheap way to make this harder, however, is to place thin rare earth magnets on top of the magnets already in place. This will make it MUCH harder to pedal.
This thing also produces a TON of heat. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with mine and it is merely incurring way too much friction as the resistance wheel spins, but its hot enough to burn your fingers if you touched the surface for 2-3 seconds.
The computer is also cheap and doesn't incorporate resistance into MPH or calories burned. You get what you pay for, though.
Summary:
Easy assembly
Poor build quality
Not enough tension settings
Inaccurate computer
Works (for a while)
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent buy! Comment: This exercise bike is very easy to assemble and it don't take a lot of space. Mine is in the living room. The bike is quiet and I don't disturb anybody and I can still watch TV and exercise. Bargain!
