Customer Rating: Summary: Sam Cooke Portrait of a Legend Comment: This is a CD of Sam Cooke's songs. He was one of greatest singers of his
time. I always liked his music going way back to the early 1960's. I am
listening to his CD right now as I write this review. Great CD.
Customer Rating: Summary: A legend in his own right Comment: This is a great cd to own.I loved all the songs. Sam Cooke has a great voice and he was one of the greatlegendary singer of his time. His voice captivate you and his storytelling is wonderful through out most of the songs. I love his voice and I have not heard anyone that came close to duplicating his voice. He is great songwriter as well. The songs are very romantic. I just love to listen to his voice. "A change is gonna come" is so realistic and heartfelt song. I wish he could been around to witness this change in the world.
Customer Rating: Summary: I would highly recommend this one! Comment: Loved it! It had all of the great songs on there, and is well worth the money. Actually, it's probably not enough money that I paid for the large, inclusive collection of hits by Sam Cooke! This CD is wonderful. I highly recommend it for anyone who is a huge Sam Cooke fan. All original songs. Great sound quality. Includes all of the hits - and not just a few hits and a lot of other stuff that was never a hit. Very good collection. Whoever put this together did a great job.
Customer Rating: Summary: Classic R&B Comment: All I have to say is that if you are of the R&B persuasion if you ain't got this one, you ain't got nothing.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sam Cooke - Portrait of a legend Comment: Sam Cooke sounds just as great today as he did 44 years ago. Sure some tracks sound dated but the magic voice still carries through. Great CD.
