Summary: Mario or Not, Still a Superb Title
Comment: Luigi's Mansion was released at the launch of the Nintendo Game Cubes cycle.
Dating back to 2001, this title still kicks. A bit off the beaten path of former Mario style games, Luigi's Mansion was a mixed bag for some.

The graphics are dated, but the gameplay is still thorough enough to be worth playing. Many modern games strive on powerful graphics, when dated you realize many of the flaws. The game is mysterious, mild paced, overall good fun. The game itself can be completed rather quickly, but the first play through is highly memorable.

Controls are a little stiff, and there are no technical levels. Mario games emphasized level based objectives. While Luigi's Mansion still has objectives they are unlocked by further progression. The objectives are to rid a mansion of ghouls. To do so you are given a vacuum, designed specifically for absorbing such ghosts. The variety in ghost is nice, the scenery is plot specific, but changes when prompted. Mario has disappeared, Luigi gained a mansion, coincidence?

I found few last generation titles to still hold a candle to modern titles, the timeless ones are now proving themselves. This game is fairly unique and offers a different style of gameplay. Out of the gamecube titles track some other good ones that are rather cheap now. Try out also: Paper Mario 2, Pikmin 1 & 2, Phantasy Star Online Eps 1 & 2, and lastly this!

Summary: Nit picking aside this a classic.
Comment: Let's start off with the fact that this has Luigi. A character who not enough people play as. And your a ghost buster. That's new. Problems include it's shortness, (I beat it in 4 days) and the fact it has wonky controls and bad camera. But this is a lot of fun and is even worth putting in your Wii libary.

Summary: the best game ever of nintendo.
Comment: this is a cool game because mario gets all the fame so luigi gets the star and roll and luigi is not a baby if he went in the haunted mansion to get his bro.
and i like the under dog but it has good grafics and most of my friends took 4 years to get to king boo and catch all 50 boos theres a big reward its the best games you should buy it.

Summary: Luigi's Haunted Mansion
Comment: This had Mario kidnapped and turned into a picture and luigi fights King Boo and Bowser to set him free! This was the first Mario Game to feature Elvin Gadd. ( Prof. E Gadd ). The types of ghosts you enter is an old lady, librarian, orange ghost, blue ghost, occasional color ghosts, rats, boos, tall pink ghosts. It never showed Luigi winning a contest, it was good to improve Toad into this game and the best action Mario game. It was like a mystery type game and it did like relate to Suoper Mario Sunshine. Luigi can't really jump, there is a passage where you enter through a mirror, Idon't see fasionation in this game but it was another poor game just like Mario Party 5.

Summary: This Game Is Frightfully Awesome!
Comment: Nintendo didn't have a traditional Super Mario Game ready for the Gameube at launch, but they had this game instead...which starred Mario's younger brother Luigi. A lot of people were skeptical about this game, thinking it was just a gimmick and such. In fact, to this day there's a lot of people who put this game down, including X-Play's Adam Sessler, who actually had the nerve to say this game sucks! But HE'S the one who sucks, because this game is awesome!

My only complaint about this game is that it's a bit too short, but it's a non-stop thrill ride to the end! Who could have ever guessed that sucking up ghosts in a vacuum could be so addicting? After a while, vacuuming ghosts becomes like second nature and you can't get enough of it. The thing that's fun is trying to vacuum them a certain way in order to shake out the big pearls and such! The more valuables you collect, the better ranking you'll score at the end of the game. If you suck out all of the big pearls from a major ghost, you'll score the gold framed painting of that particular ghost. The best I ever did was a 'B' ranking. I still don't know what I could have possibly missed? You can find money and jewels in nearly everything...chandeliers, couches, cabinets, vases, the refridgerator, even the toilet! And let's not forget the wiley and quick "Gold Mice" that occasionally appear! Oh, and also by watering plants.

The main plot of the game is to rescue your brother Mario, who was trapped inside of a painting! The final showdown with King Boo is pretty cool! This will alway's be one of my all-time favorite games and I REALLY hope to see a sequel some day soon! This game deserves the 5-star rating I gave it and more.
