Summary: Expected More Signing
Comment: My daughter is deaf and loves watching blue's clue, so I was some what disappointed with the limited signing. There was a small protion of consistent signing during story time, but that was a small segment.

I was expecting signing throughout the entire tape.

Summary: Delightful
Comment: When they say All Kinds of Signs. They mean all Kinds of Signs. My daycare kids love this video. It's really just induction to sign language as well as other signs such as street signs, bathroom sign etc. Blue's Clues - All Kinds of Signs is a cute helpful video just don't expect it to be a great sign language video.

Summary: More on ASL for kids
Comment: This is an entertaining video. My son loves Blue's Clues...but not until he was about 2 yrs old. Earlier, he did not "get it" in terms of "finding a paw print". Another great Blue's episode that I am not sure is still out is "ABCs & 123s". At 25 months, I swear my son understands how READING works from this video! The counting part is really good too. My son tries to count everything! However, for those of you looking for more ASL sign language for kids, the BEST by far, are the series called Signing Times. website is www.signingtime.com There are six videos/DVDs in the series that increase in complication. The first one is "basic" signs like milk, eat, apple, more, etc. I started showing this to my son at 8 months and he was signing to ME from the highchair at 10 months. Then, I added the next volume(please, thank you, share, etc) to his viewing and so on. At 25 months, he knows over 50 signs and uses them. He sometimes can't make the sign exactly right with his hands...but,I know what he means to say and that is the goal (increased communication between you)! I must say, I've learned all the signs myself! Her style of teaching is entertaining and it sinks in! www.signingtime.com check it out.

Summary: My son, the blues clues fanatic
Comment: This is a wonderful video for an introduction to some basic signs. It is not meant as a tutorial on how to sign or anything like that. It's basically introducing children to another language. This is one of my favorite blues clues, coming in a close second. It loses out to Blues Clues: Blues Big Musical..... who doesn't love having a show out in the backyard where all your friends will join along!?

Summary: Not a lot of ASL
Comment: I bought this tape primarily for the sign language. While Marlee Matlin is on for a few seconds and Steve signs a bit, the focus is very much on directional signs, NOT sign language. These are good Blue's episodes, we love Blue, but for learning to sign......keep looking.
