Customer Rating: Summary: A classic Comment: A classic in every since of the word. The movie it'self is great and I have introduced this film to my nieces and nephews who love it too. It's timless and just a good film.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice Movie for a Saturday Afternoon Comment: Another great John Hughes film, up there with Ferris Bueller and the first two Home Alones.
This film is high school to a T. The memories, personalities, the faculty. Some people call that stupid, and that may be true. For me, this movie encompassed high school all around, and it is nice to spend a Saturday Afternoon watching the film.
The extras are nice, but I got the film for the film. I was looking to buy back a few months back and they discontinued the other releases until this one came out.
Customer Rating: Summary: It was in great shape Comment: I bought this movie on Saterday & recieved it Wednesday in the mail. When I went to watch it I was very pleased of how great it worked for being a used DVD. My experiance with buying used DVD's has been great since I have been buying them from amazon.com. I would recommend this site to anyone who enjoys buying & watching movies.
Customer Rating: Summary: Claire is a Fat Girls name Comment: I remember the first time I ever seen this movie. I was about 7 or 8 and my sister had rented it on VHS. I didn't know what it was all about, but I was in for the best treat!! Today's seniors would benefit from watching this movie!!
Customer Rating: Summary: We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all. Comment: Possibly believed to be the most quintessential film, encompassing the 80's teen genre; The Breakfast Club is a classic piece of what John Hughes did for the 80's.(Which is everything right, really.)
A tale about five very different teens all from different clicks ( Andrew(Emilio Estevez) the jock, Brian(Anthony Michael Hall) the geek, Bender(Judd Nelson) the rebel, Claire(Molly Ringwald) the prep and Allison(Ally Sheedy) the outcast ) get stuck in the longest detention ever, with possibly the most idiotic educator in film to date.
Brilliant performances by all, with so many quotes I could fill a notebook. Who doesn't love telling an authority figure to 'EAT MY SHORTS'!
A classic theme song( Don't you forget about me, don't don't don't DON'T! ) with a winning soundtrack to follow.
I have no complaints, not my favorite John Hughes film(I prefer Sixteen Candles) but a classic none-the-less.
Even if you weren't born yet in the 80's!
