Customer Rating: Summary: very handy. Comment: my mom was just diagnosed with celiac disease and this book has made cooking much easier for her.
Customer Rating: Summary: great starter book Comment: I purchased this book shortly after being diagnosed with Celiac, and have found that Carols flour mix is very palatable. In the area where I live it can be challenging to find all the different flours to make the over all mix, but with the help of friends and family i have been able to make many recipes in this book. With the expense of these flours, if you are in a pinch, try the Gluten Free Pantry's all purpose flour mix. It creates just as good results, just a bit grainier than Carols mix due to different amounts of rice flour in use.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Eats Comment: This book is great. We tried other cook books for gluten free diet and this is one of the best. I would highly recommend it for those who need to be gluten free.
Customer Rating: Summary: Practical, helpful meals - love this book! Comment: I get a little skeptical ordering books that claim to be "quick and easy" especially when it says it's also "gluten free." This cookbook has been great. I've had it about 2 weeks, read a bunch of the beginning and made 2 of the meals. The roasted chicken and the Chinese Lemon Chicken are delicious and easy. These recipes satisfy our allergy needs AND the satisfy my husband's taste buds. A great combination!
Customer Rating: Summary: More goodness Comment: A fine addition to the conversation on gluten-free foods. Readers will find many recipes for dishes they are familiar with here.
