Comment: I thoroughly enjoyed this group of genre. I read a lot of historical fiction, and it was most entertaining to learn so much about Texas and surrounding areas during the 1800's.

Comment: Lonesome Dove depicts all the hardships of the old west. The misfortunes: sand storms, snake invested waters, and the strength of the men on these drives is all present. Tommy Lee Jones portrays his character perfectly. Robert Duvall has never had a dull acting moment. The love of the old west and the disappointments are all present in this mini-series. I would highly recommend Lonesome Dove to anyone, even to those that do not enjoy westerns. Jill
