Summary: A Brilliant Documentary
Comment: I'm a lifelong baseball fan, with a special interest in the Negro Leagues. I consider this the finest baseball documentary I've ever seen. The film exemplifies both technical expertise and great sensitivity to the subject matter. The interview sequence of the Pittsburgh Crawfords legendary outfield of Cool Papa Bell, Jimmie Crutchfield, and Ted Page stands as some of the best baseball footage ever. The director, Craig Davidson, has portrayed life in the shadows of black baseball with great brilliance and I give "There Was Always Sun Shining Someplace" my very highest recommendation.

Summary: An excellent video for any baseball fan.
Comment: This video is an extremly good look at the stories of Negro Leaguers. It was great to see the players telling their stories in the flesh, rather than simply reading their printed words.Great images! Recommended highly, especially from a research perspective.
