Summary: lots of action and suspense
Comment: Starts off a bit slow, but once the ball gets rolling, the action is non stop, and quick paced. I like the main characters, Sean and Ellie, and the side characters were great too. Vinny and Ophelia make an appearance, as well as Hannah and another couple from previous books.
I wish there was more about Skyler and Drake, they were sweet together. Altogether a good suspenseful novel, but the sex was just lukewarm.

Summary: Too Far Gone by Marliss Melton-A Joyfully Recommended Title!
Comment: Since her worthless husband walked out on her and their children, Ellie Stuart's life has been slowly but surely getting better. Even though she's attracted to her landlord, Navy SEAL Sean Harlan, she knows that he's the wrong type of man for her.

Sean has been watching Ellie since he met her but knows that he's not the kind of guy for a single mother no matter how great he thinks her boys are. But when her sons are forcibly kidnapped from her, Sean is there to help her fight the mysterious organization behind the kidnapping. Circumstances allow the passion between Sean and Ellie to explode but can they find a way to make it last forever and become a family?

Too Far Gone goes from zero to 60 in about 3 chapters and never slows down after that! Marliss Melton has it all! Passion, action and emotional intensity are all seamlessly woven together in a story that literally kept me up all night unable to stop reading. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Summary: 'Too Far Gone'...
Comment: Is it too much to ask for a little bit of peace and quiet?
For Ellie Stuart who is a single mom, finding the time and energy to keep up with her busy life and still tend to her three young and energetic boys, the answer is a definite yes!
Goodness knows her life is complicated enough without having a man in her life.
When Navy Seal and landlord Sean Harlan stops by to do repairs on his rental property and Ellie's home, she can't help but notice how darn sexy he is. Not that she'd ever let herself get mixed up with him. But Sean's easy manner with the boys and the extra little things he does to make her rented house more of a home for them, can't help but warm her carefully guarded heart.
Though Sean is off-limits, neither of them can fully ignore the sexual tension that flairs between them.
One night, as Ellie is driving down a dark back-road, she is viciously attacked by two burly strangers who are intent upon taking her boys. When the kidnappers forcefully remove Ellie from her car, they speed off into the night with her terrified little children still inside.
Scared, confused and fearful for her three defenceless little boys, Ellie goes right...

Summary: Race to rescue kidnapped children
Comment: 'Too Far Gone' is part of a series about Navy SEALs and the hero of this book, Sean Harlan, is portrayed as one might imagine a SEAL - muscular, a ladies' man, good at slinking about in the dark and sorting out problems. And Sean finds himself involved in the problems of his tenant, Ellie Stuart, after her three children are kidnapped. Sean has been finding Ellie rather attractive for some time but knows there's no point in getting involved with a single mother; however, when Ellie needs his help to try to search for the kids, he finds himself eager to assist.

The book follows Sean and Ellie as they follow up the slim leads they can find in order to locate the children. What Sean and Ellie don't initially know, however, is that a shadowy group known as The Centurions is involved and that group has tentacles in many different layers of government and law enforcement and can fabricate evidence to implicate Sean. Can Sean and Ellie find her children? Can they get to the bottom of who has kidnapped the kids? Is there any future for them?

This was a well-paced book with plenty of action (although less direct SEAL action than I expected). The romance is believable, the plot credible most of the time and the side-plot with an FBI agent and a rich young woman was a bonus. Overall, however, I felt that the book didn't stand out in any particular way but it was certainly a decent enough read for an afternoon's entertainment.

Excellent...
Too Far Gone is an excellent read for anyone who loves action and mystery with a little romance and just the right amount of sizzle. This book will keep you turning the pages and burning the midnight oil.
Marliss Melton's characters are real, and the story flows to its final conclusion without the reader becoming frustrated with the direction or any side stories becoming too overwhelming. The story was well thought out and well written. It entertained from the opening chapters to the finishing line. I would recommend this as a must-read.
